SABVC Volunteer

We’d love to have you on our team!

Volunteering gives you the opportunity to build your existing skills and develop new ones. By putting your talents and knowledge into action, you are honing your skill-set. This looks great on a resume! Furthermore, volunteering also buffs up your resume by giving you experience.

Did you know that volunteering is eligible for your co-curricular record?

What’s your Co-Curricular Record, you ask? Think of it like an Extra-Curricular Resume.

It’s a record of your Bow Valley College activities that have enriched your experience and helped you develop important skills. You can present this to potential employers, add it to awards applications, and add it to applications for further post-secondary education.

You can find out more by clicking here.

Volunteering is a way for you to connect to your campus and make an impact. So, if you want to become a volunteer, please feel free to visit our volunteer portal page!

Getting a copy of your Co-curricular Record

You can obtain your Co-Curricular Record whenever you require it! Typically, you receive it upon graduation, when applying for awards, or when applying for jobs. You can obtain a copy of your Co-Curricular Record by filling out and submitting the Co-Curricular Records Request Form: Link here

Please check Bow Valley College website for more details.

The Students' Association of Bow Valley College is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Iyarhe Nakoda.

We are situated on land where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary.

The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
