SABVC's Annual General Meeting

We encourage all SABVC members to attend and participate in our Annual General Meeting (AGM), including those studying part-time, full-time, or online.

This year’s AGM will take place on November 25, 2025.

Why should you attend the AGM?

As required by SABVC's Bylaws, the AGM is a key meeting where we review our accomplishments, share a financial report for the past year, and present the proposed budget for the upcoming year. With accountability as one of our core values, the AGM is a vital opportunity for SABVC to ensure transparency and hold leadership accountable in the governance of our student association.

You will learn about SABVC’s accomplishments over the past year.

SABVC’s audited financials are shared.

Any recommended bylaw changes are voted on.

Any recommended proposed budget are voted on.

At the meeting, each member will have the opportunity to cast their vote to approve the proposed budget, enabling SABVC to continue its mission with your valuable support.

The Students' Association of Bow Valley College is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Iyarhe Nakoda.

We are situated on land where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary.

The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
