    Free Bites by SABVC, Sponsored by Sodexo SABVC is committed to fighting food insecurity on our campus and is always ready to support students in need. Through our partnership with Sodexo, we are pleased to provide gift cards to students who require assistance with food while on campus. Eligibility Through our "Free Bites" program, a current student at Bow Valley College has the opportunity to receive a $6 gift card to be used at "The Market" by Sodexo, located on the 2nd floor of South Campus. This initiative aims to support our students by providing them with access to meals, helping them stay focused and energized throughout their school day. Must be currently enrolled in and having a valid @mybvc email address Limit of 1 gift card per student per semester Application Process If you ever find yourself unable to afford food during the day, SABVC has got you covered. Simply fill out the application form below and visit SABVC to claim your card. To ensure everyone has access, we limit one application per student each term. While we understand that $6 may not cover all your needs, we hope this contribution helps you purchase some food from our BVC market. If you’ve already applied using the old form, please resubmit your application using this updated version. *Only applications submitted through the new form will be reviewed — previous submissions will no longer be accepted. Free Bites Friday In addition to the Free Bites gift card, stay tuned for our Free Bites Friday events, where one Friday every month we give out free lunch to students.     Campus Book Fair Buy/Sell/Trade Books & Textbooks SABVC BOOK FAIR Save, Share, and Connect Through Books! SABVC hosts a Book Fair every term to help students buy, sell, and trade books and textbooks. Designed to help current or graduating students, and alumni pass on their textbooks to those who need them. The SABVC Book Fair makes it easy to save money, reduce waste, and connect with our campus community. Thank you for joining us at the Winter 2026 Book Fair! Just fill out the seller form and provide a few student details so we know you’re part of the Bow Valley College community. You set your own prices for each book (Just make sure to check online marketplaces to get an idea of the price range) Once you’re signed up, simply drop off your books at the SABVC office. The Students' Association of Bow Valley College is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Iyarhe Nakoda.

 

We are situated on land where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary.

 

The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
