We’re looking for passionate and motivated students to join our team! Two exciting officer positions are now open:

💼 Student Relations Specialist📣 Marketing Specialist

This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, develop leadership and communication skills, and make a positive impact on student life at Bow Valley College!

Position: Student Relations Specialist 

Job Summary: 

As part of the HR Student Club, you’ll work closely with other club members to engage students, organize and promote club activities, and create a collaborative and positive experience for students at Bow Valley College. This opportunity offers a hands-on opportunity to develop valuable skills such as leadership and creativity. You can be a part of building meaningful connections while making a positive impact on campus life. 

What you’ll do: 

●     Act as a liaison between Club and student members. 

●     Assist in organizing networking events, workshops, and meetings. 

●     Manage spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel to track membership and event participation. 

●      Manage the HR Club email account, alongside drafting emails to communicate with members. 

●     Gather feedback from members to improve club activities 

What you bring: 

●     Currently enrolled in the Business Administration Program, Majoring in Human Resources or in the Human Resources certificate program. 

●     Strong Communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. 

●     Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. 

●     Enthusiastic about fostering a sense of community among students. 

●     Able to meet once a week for one hour with officers. 

●     Commitment to be present in person at all HR Club events.

Open Position: Marketing Specialist  

Job Summary:

●     Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the club and its events. 

●     Manage the club’s social media accounts, focusing on platforms such as SABVC, etc. 

●     Collaborate with SABVC (Student’s Association of Bow Valley College) to represent the HR Club effectively. 

●     Create engaging content such as posters, posts, and newsletters. 

What you bring: 

●     Currently enrolled in the Business Administration Program, Majoring in Human Resources or in the Human Resources certificate program. 

●     Strong Communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. 

●     Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva and Social Media Platforms. 

●     Enthusiastic about fostering a sense of community among students. 

●     Able to meet once a week for one hour with officers. 

●     Commitment to be present in person in all HR Club events.

The Students' Association of Bow Valley College is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Iyarhe Nakoda.

 

We are situated on land where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary.

 

The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
