SCM Club Brings Real-World Learning to Campus

At SABVC, one of the things we’re most proud of is the passion and creativity our student clubs bring to campus life. The SCM Club is pushing learning beyond the classroom. Currently, they’re hosting a Speaker Series event, bringing real industry experience straight to campus, and everyone is invited! It’s a great opportunity for students to hear directly from professionals who navigate these changes every day.

The SCM Club is hosting a Speaker Series focused on one of today’s biggest trends:

Artificial Intelligence in Industry: Preparing The Next Generation of Supply Chain Leaders

When: February 12, 2026 / 1:00 to 2:30 pm

Location: South Campus, TransAlta Hall

Refreshments will be provided for all attendees.

What to Expect at this Speaker Series event?

Featured Speaker: Terry Imeson

Current Role: Regional Director of Strategic Sourcing / Procurement

Company / Industry: Accor — Hospitality Industry

Experience: Over 23 years of procurement experience across multiple sectors, including Oil & Gas (Upstream/Midstream), Telecommunications, IT, and his own consulting business

Terry brings a wealth of insight into how organizations are adapting to new technologies like AI and how these changes impact supply chain professionals. Students can expect a grounded, real-world perspective from someone who has experienced major shifts across several industries.

Expect insightful conversations, relatable examples, and an open environment where students can ask the questions that truly matter. From the skills the future workforce should build, to the challenges companies face as AI becomes part of daily operations.

Come learn, ask questions, and connect with people who are shaping the future of industry and those who are preparing to lead within it. Everyone is invited!
