We’re proud to announce our new partnership with the YMAP Infinity Program, an inspiring initiative by the YMCA designed to support young adults and those who are newcomers to Canada.

The Youth Mentorship and Access Program (YMAP) is a free, pre-registered program that helps youth, ages 18 to 25, build leadership and life skills, while fostering meaningful connections through weekly sessions and community engagement. Participants explore topics such as job readiness, financial literacy, health and wellness, and civic involvement, all while celebrating their cultural heritage and learning how to thrive in their new environment.

The YMAP Infinity Program is specially designed for students aged 18 and older, offering a safe and supportive space to grow, connect, and succeed.

As part of this partnership, Bow Valley College students are invited to join the YMAP Infinity Program every Thursday from 4:45 PM to 6:45 PM. The program alternates weekly between in-person and online sessions, and participants are expected to attend all sessions from October to June, hosted right here at Bow Valley College.

To join the program:

Once your application is received, a member of our YMAP team will contact you with the next steps.

If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

From skill-building to community engagement, YMAP is a powerful opportunity to learn, lead, and connect. YMAP is a great opportunity for all our student members in building new skills, make friends, or get involved in meaningful community work!

The Students' Association of Bow Valley College is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot Confederacy) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Iyarhe Nakoda.

We are situated on land where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is “Mohkinstsis” which we now call the City of Calgary.

The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
